Mental Health Therapist
POSITION: Mental Health Therapist
This job is a hybrid position. While we offer Telehealth Services, all applicants for this position MUST be willing to commute to our office in Hollywood, Florida, at least once per week.
You will be matched with clients based on your area of expertise and utilize your skills to address and accomplish their goals. This position requires building professional, empathetic relationships with clients and families while providing efficient and appropriate direct mental health services.
This is an independent contractor position and can be full or part-time.
Senior clinical staff may provide supervision to non-licensed clinical staff, students, and interns*. (*MUST INCLUDE INTERN NUMBER ON RESUME)
Compensation is based on a percentage of billable hours and experience level; this can be discussed in further detail.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain a caseload of individuals with personal social behavior problems and maintain the confidentiality of clients’ treatment records.
Encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives and help them develop insight into themselves and their relationships.
Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.
Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
Counsel clients and families, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.
Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A master’s degree (minimum).
LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, or equivalent clinical level license (or be licensing soon)
Maintain independent professional liability insurance
Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, and cultures and their history and origins.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with technology
Must have reliable transportation
PREFERRED:
1-2 years of experience managing caseloads and providing individual counseling
Spanish speaking a plus
Experience working with clients with different sensory, cognitive profiles, and cultural backgrounds
Able to establish and maintain strong client relationships
Previous experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR)
